Rafael supports the Science and GHR&D fund on grant investigations, research, portfolio analyses, and program management. For instance, he provides quantitative analyses to assist grantmakers in their decision-making (one example: “A quantitative approach to vaccine funding“). He also conducts research projects for a similar purpose, such as investigating the potential burden of Strep A.
Previously, he worked as a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of São Paulo and a MicroMaster’s in Development Economics from MIT.
