Model based on Jones & Klenow (2016) and Adhami, Bils, Jones & Klenow (2025). In our grantmaking, the Abundance and Growth Fund team estimates the social value of policies that affect growth using a similar, but not identical, approach. This tool presents a simplified version of that framework.
The model projects baseline and alternative paths over 300 years. The welfare gain measures how much cash, paid out today, would make people equally well off without the policy. For the full model equations, see the model code on GitHub.
