Jake joined Coefficient Giving in November 2024, where he makes grants for technical work to mitigate catastrophic risks from advanced AI. Previously, he worked as a research scientist at Apollo Research (you can find some of his past research here), and worked on pandemic modelling. He received a Bachelors in Physics and a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
