Emma Buckland

Emma joined Coefficient Giving in September 2022 and works as a Program Associate on the Farm Animal Welfare team, where she focuses on quantitative analysis and impact evaluation. She holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford, where her research centered on development and spatial economics — including mapping informal settlements across sub-Saharan Africa at scale for the first time. Prior to her MPhil, Emma worked at the Boston Consulting Group in Johannesburg and as a Research Fellow for Charity Entrepreneurship in London.
